Before you use LightXtreme VPN it helps to know exactly what the service picks up: our website, our apps and the subscription you buy. This policy covers the information we collect, the work it does, and the choices you keep over it. We stay conservative on purpose, gathering only what a working VPN requires, holding nothing that has no purpose, and never selling it on. If this text ever changes, the current version is published here.
1. Details we gather
What your account tells us
When you register or subscribe, we note your email address, what you ordered and how you paid, how many devices sit on the plan and the day the plan runs out, which is what lets us recognise you, start your service and look after it afterwards.
Connection records kept by the app
To keep connections smooth and to work out what went wrong, the app writes temporary connection records covering the node you used, when the connection happened and any error codes that appeared. They contain nothing about the pages you open, no password and no history, and they are never used to build a picture of your browsing.
What we learn from your visits
Visiting the site tells us technical details such as browser, device model, language, the page you arrived from and the time you arrived, and we use that for traffic counting and to make the site work better. A third-party statistics script may drop a cookie to measure visits, and clearing or blocking cookies in your browser stops it whenever you wish.
2. How those details are used
There are only a few things the information is for: switching your subscription on and keeping it running, delivering encrypted connections and protecting their quality, handling refunds and support cases, preventing abuse and fraud, and improving the product and the website.
Your personal information is not sold and is not used to build advertising profiles or marketing lists, except where the law obliges us, where you have given clear permission, or where it is unavoidable in order to complete a payment that you started.
3. Partners and processors
Payments flow through channels such as Alipay, WeChat Pay, UnionPay, credit cards, PayPal, Google Play and Stripe, and anything you type at checkout is handled by them under their own privacy rules. The app connects to servers we run so that the service can operate, your traffic passes through an encrypted tunnel, and the teams running those nodes cannot see which sites you visit.
Keeping your traffic private
Data on the move is protected with Shadowsocks, Vless and WireGuard encryption and algorithms such as AES-256-GCM, and the account actions between our website and the app are encrypted over HTTPS too.
4. Keeping time and your choices
Your account and plan records are held for as long as the service runs and for a limited period after it ends, for support and compliance, while connection records are removed soon after they have been used for troubleshooting. Write to the service email if you would like your data exported, corrected or deleted, and after an account is closed the related information is deleted or anonymised within a reasonable time.
Anyone under the age of majority
This service is for adults. If you are younger than the legal age of majority where you live, please read this policy together with a guardian and only use the service with their agreement.
When this policy is revised
We may revisit this policy as the product evolves, and every new version appears on this website; by continuing to use LightXtreme VPN you accept the policy as it stands.
